Summit Tea Co. is special, taking the art of tea seriously. What makes them stand out from many other tea purveyors is their connectedness, knowledge, and passion for tea. They travel to the farms in the old country of China and to blenders in France one or twice a year. The teas are grown on farms in the historic regions of China, Sri Lanka, and India that use clean and integrity centered practices, are steeped in the tradition of tea growing. Summit Tea then takes their teas to one of the oldest tea companies in Europe for blending and flavoring (as they call it). This old world, old school company is in France and has been in the business of tea blending for 200 years! That’s hard to conceive, but it’s one of the things that sets these teas apart. There are lots of tea companies in the US but very few are willing to go to such lengths. The standard for growing tea in China is on an entirely different level. Summit Tea did not want their teas to taste like all the other teas out there, so they have gone off shore for their sources and blending.
